Key Identifiers

A key identifier is a required field that is used to identify and track records.

Box Key Identifiers

There are five key identifiers that are used to track boxes. The key identifier is selected by the system administrator if a customer uses a custom box template, or the default key identifier is applied if the customer uses the Iron Mountain default box template.

Box Key Identifiers

  • SKP Barcode
  • Customer Box Number*
  • Reference 1
  • Major Description
  • Minor Description

*The default Key Identifier; applied if a customer does not use a custom template

Users are required to enter the key identifier during box creation. Key identifier display in the following locations:

       

File Key Identifiers

There are five key identifiers that are used to track files.  The key identifier is selected by the system administrator if a customer uses a custom file template, or the default Key Identifier (File Description 1) is applied if the customer uses the Iron Mountain default file template.
